It’s that time of year. With training camp right around the corner, goaltenders across the NHL are unveiling their new masks for the 2018-19 season. Wednesday morning, Golden Knights goaltender Oscar Dansk’s new mask was revealed, and a lot more went into it than just glitz and glamour.
Very classy move from the 24-year-old.
Prior to suffering a lower body injury early in the 2017-18 season, Dansk went 3-0 in four appearances with Vegas while logging an impressive 1.78 goals against average and .946 save percentage in place of fellow Vegas goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban.
The Golden Knights signed Dansk to a two-year deal in July. The Swedish netminder is expected to begin the season in the AHL, where he posted a 13-3-4 record with the Chicago Wolves last season.
