Rise and shine! Let’s check in on some news and notes:

- Marc-Andre Fleury, Reilly Smith, Paul Stastny and many other Golden Knights players took the ice at City National Arena Tuesday. Hockey is freaking here, folks. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

- Not at City National Arena were (obviously) James Neal, David Perron and Luca Sbisa, but that didn’t keep us from doing their 2017-18 season grades. [Knights on Ice]

- Paul Stastny spoke to The Athletic about his summer, and he seems pretty excited to play with the many shooters in Vegas’ speed-oriented system. [The Athletic]

- The Capitals have been doing endless Stanley Cup keg stands this summer, and it’s been a blast to watch. But it looks like the NHL, in true NHL fashion, is going to ban the Stanley Cup keg stand forever. [CBS Sports]
