Let’s go over some news and notes:

- Who should be named the Golden Knights’ MVP for this season? We sound off with our candidates. [KOI]

- Cody Glass is hurt and I think I’m going to throw up. [KOI]

- Gerard Gallant? Pretty good coach. After all, he won the Jack Adams last season. Believe it or not, though, he may be doing an even better job this season. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

In other news...

- There were some excellent showings at this year’s NHL All-Star skills competition, but none more so than Kendall Coyne Schofield’s. [The Hockey News]

- Brianna Decker had a pretty incredible showing too. And she’s (rightfully) getting paid $25 thousand for it. [ESPN]

- The NHL is officially planning on incorporating puck and player tracking for the 2019-20 season. [ESPN]

- Steven Stamkos is quite good at the hockey.
