We’ve come to the end of the road (trip) for the Vegas Golden Knights. They’re in Detroit this afternoon to take on the Red Wings, which means you get the rare Sunday of putting off NFL for hockey.

The Golden Knights will try to end their road trip on a high note, currently sitting 1-1-1 in that stretch. Five points would be an ideal mark to hit before heading home and playing five of their next six at T-Mobile Arena. A win would help greatly here.

Storyline of the game

  • The Red Wings haven’t won a lot, but their past two wins during their 2-11-1 stretch have come against the Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins. Detroit can play up to their competition, and if the big three of Mantha, Larkin and Bertuzzi can get going, it could be a long game for Vegas. Fabbri, who was acquired in a trade with the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, scored twice in his Detroit debut in the 4-2 win against Boston on Friday.
