GAMEDAY THREAD 68/82: Calgary Flames at Vegas Golden Knights

Come discuss the game as the Knights host the Flames.

NHL: Calgary Flames at Vegas Golden Knights Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden Knights host the Flames tonight at T-Mobile Arena as Vegas’ stretch of games against Pacific Division opponents continues. Vegas enters tonight’s contest having won each of its last four games, and Marc-Andre Fleury has recorded back-to-back shutouts.

The Flames are currently in first place in the Pacific with 89 points, holding a 12-point lead over the Knights. However, if San Jose re-claims the division lead and Vegas holds off Arizona, tonight’s matchup could very well be a preview of round one of the playoffs.

After winning seven games in a row at the end of February, Calgary has now lost two straight. The Flames made a few line changes ahead of tonight’s game, putting Matthew Tkachuk on the top line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau and moving Andrew Mangiapane to the second line.

Here are the projected lineups for both clubs:

Pacioretty — Stastny — Stone

Carpenter — Bellemare — Reaves
