Today is Day 2 of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship taking place in Red Deer and Edmonton in Alberta. Here’s a quick recap on how each Golden Knights prospect in action played on Sunday, and a list of the games on the schedule for Monday.

Vegas Golden Knights Prospects Update

  • Jakub Brabenec, Czechia — Brabenec tallied an assist during Sunday’s loss vs. Team Canada. He skated 15:19, and had 20 shifts throughout the game. Brabenec and Czechia are scheduled to face Germany in the third game of the day.
  • Lukas Cormier, Canada — Cormier skated 16:11 vs. Czechia in a 6-3 win on Sunday. He picked up an assist, and tallied one shot on goal. Cormier and Canada are scheduled to play next on Tuesday vs. Austria.
  • Jakub Demek, Slovakia — Demek skated 14:25 in a 3-2 loss to the United States, with a total of 17 shifts during the game. Demek and Slovakia are scheduled to face Sweden in the fourth game of the day.
  • Jesper Vikman, Sweden — Vikman did not dress for Sweden’s game vs. Russia on Sunday. Sweden will take on Slovakia in the fourth game of the day on Monday.

Russia vs. Switzerland — 1:30 p.m. PT — NHLN (USA), TSN & RDS (Canada)

Germany vs. Czechia — 4:00 p.m. PT — NHLN (USA), TSN & RDS (Canada)

Sweden vs. Slovakia — 6:30 p.m. PT — NHLN (USA), TSN & RDS (Canada)
