Howden posted a line of 9-11-20 in 47 games during his first season with the Golden Knights. He’s in line to play a bottom-six role for Vegas this upcoming season, and the hope is that his production this year can grow next year as he enjoys a fresh start on a new team.
Rondbjerg posted a line of 14-13-27 in 39 games with the Henderson Silver Knights, and a line of 2-4-6 in 30 NHL games with the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights likely like Rondbjerg as someone who can be a cost effective scoring option within the bottom six, and the 23-year-old can play either wing.
Overall, the Golden Knights still have a ways to go when it comes to completing the overhaul of their roster, and I don’t think they are going to enter next season without attempting to make the roster better. They had to open up cap space, but as constructed the team’s window is a bit precarious. We shall see what happens.
