After Victory Over Ontario Reign, Henderson Silver Knights Back in Action vs. Bakersfield Condors

The Henderson Silver Knights were victorious over the Ontario Reign on New Year’s Eve with a 4-1 victory. Recently re-assigned forward Jake Leschyshyn opened up the scoring for the Silver Knights. The Knights would ultimately score four unanswered with Connor Corcoran, Ben Jones, and Pavel Dorofeyev also scoring goals.

In some ways this game mirrored the Vegas Golden Knights’ game vs. the Ducks, as a shutout was lost in the final stages of the third period. This time it was a goal by Janey Anderson-Dolan with 1:12 left in the game to cost Jiri Patera what would have been his first shutout of the season.

Today the Silver Knights, 13-7-2 with 29 points, will take on the seventh place Bakersfield Condors at 5:00 p.m. The game is viewable through AHLtv, and will be on the radio through 1230 The Game. Before the two teams faceoff, here’s some quick stats for both teams from the AHL.

This is the third matchup this season for the Silver Knights and Condors, with the teams having split the two previous meetings. On October 29 the Condors won 3-2, and on October 30 the Silver Knights defeated them 4-2.

Henderson has been playing well as of late, the Condors not so much, so this is a game that the Silver Knights should be able to win as they continue their climb up the standings in the division.
