The Vegas Golden Knights look to bounce back from from Saturday’s disappointing loss in Los Angeles, where the Kings won 5-1. Tonight the Dallas Stars arrive at T-Mobile Arena having won four straight games.
Despite the loss to the Kings, Vegas has still won seven of nine, and in the wild-card hunt. The Golden Knights currently hold the second wild-card spot, two points behind Dallas, which is the has the top wild-card slot.
We are 11-6 with totals involving the Golden Knights, and on a 4-3 run with top-rated power plays throughout the league.
As of 5 pm pacific, Vegas is laying between -150 and -155 to Dallas.
Value in the Knights
Vegas’ let down on Saturday might have been the right wake-up call before it heads to New York for about a week. The Golden Knights had an optional skate Sunday morning, and several of the players were outspoken about how disappointed they were with Saturday’s performance. Jonathan Marchessault said there is no excuse, even after last Tuesday’s emotional win over Washington and Thursday’s come-from-behind victory over Chicago. Ryan Carpenter spoke about the improving third line, including Oscar Lindberg, who has a point in two of the last three games. Vegas’ motivation to get a win before heading east makes the puck line an intriguing option.

Dallas steps on the ice after a thrilling 3-2 win over visiting San Jose on Friday night, when Miro Heiskanen and Brett Ritchie scored 1:48 apart in the third period for the Stars.

With Marc-Andre Fleury back in net, and the Stars playing as well as they have, we’re going to push the Over tonight. Dallas will come into T-Mobile looking to keep its momentum flowing, having outscored Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and San Jose by a combined final of 13-7. In total, eight separate Dallas skaters each registered a point in Friday’s contest, so the confidence level should be on high for the Stars to challenge one of the fastest teams in the league. Vegas should respond as it’s looking to make it five consecutive wins at home. Play this one high, as both teams bring a lot of energy into the opening period to set the tone for a high-scoring game.
