GAMEDAY THREAD 37/82: New York Islanders at Vegas Golden Knights
Come chat with us as the Knights finish up their season series against the Isles.
The Golden Knights (19-15-2) return to T-Mobile Arena after a four-game road trip saw them go 2-1-1 against the Islanders, Devils, Rangers and Blue Jackets.
Tonight will be the second and final regular-season matchup between the Knights and Islanders (17-12-4), who have won three games in a row since falling to the Knights in Brooklyn.
Vegas will face Thomas Greiss in net tonight, who is 12-6-1 with a 2.50 goals-against average and .919 save percentage in 19 starts. Marc-Andre Fleury is the projected starter for Vegas after Malcolm Subban manned the crease the other night in Columbus.
With Max Pacioretty on injured reserve, Brandon Pirri will make his season debut for the Knights tonight as he skates on the second line with Paul Stastny and Alex Tuch. Pirri scored three goals in two games with Vegas last season and has seven points in seven career games against the Isles.
Colin Miller will miss his first contest of the season, which means Brad Hunt will draw into the lineup for the first time since Nov. 11. He is set to skate on the second power-play unit.
