What could the Golden Knights’ eventual alternate sweaters look like?

Aside from William Karlsson’s upcoming arbitration hearing (this Saturday), there’s pretty much nothing going on in the hockey world right now. So what can we talk about as we wait for news to start ramping up?

I know! Let’s talk about fashion!

At the moment, the Golden Knights only have a pair of sweaters in their wardrobe — their home and road jerseys. At some point, they’ll probably opt to introduce a third sweater to wear on occasion.

With the Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes all revealing their third jerseys for the 2018-19 season over the last month or so, I’ve decided to compile some of the more interesting concepts of alternate Golden Knights sweaters I’ve been able to dig up on the ole interweb.

Do keep in mind, some of these are pretty out there.

Here’s a concept from Twitter user @Vandal_Designs. Aside from the fact that James Neal signed with the Flames this offseason, this concept doesn’t seem to be all that unrealistic. After all, they are called the Golden Knights, so it wouldn’t be all that crazy to see a mostly gold sweater at some point. I’m not necessarily a big fan of the gold look, but I’ve seen worse designs out there.

Oh hey! More gold! This concept comes from the NHL Colour Rush Series by KP8 Design and S7 Design (you can find the full catalog here). This looks more like a Penguins jersey than it does a Golden Knights sweater, so I’ll take a hard pass for originality’s sake.

Whether you like the red on the Knights’ uniforms or not, it’s there, and there will probably be a lot of it on Vegas’ eventual third jerseys. Especially considering the amount of red present in the Knights’ secondary logo.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Golden Jets. This submission on Icethetics.co will never happen, but it sure is something. If the Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets had a baby, this would pretty much be the exact outcome. And to be quite honest, I’m very here for it.

Do you have any concept unis you’ve put together? Share them in the comments!
