NHL releases schedule for Golden Knights’ first round series against Kings

The Vegas Golden Knights’ first round schedule against the Los Angeles Kings rested on the fate of the Boston Bruins. Who would have thought that would be a sentence at the start of the year?

The Bruins were looking to clinch the Atlantic Division title against the Florida Panthers Sunday night, but they ended up losing to Florida by a score of 4-2, which means the Tampa Bay Lightning, not the Bruins, are now Atlantic Division champs. However, that result had wide reaching implications for the first round of the playoffs, including the times in which the Golden Knights would face off against the Kings.

With the final game of the season in the rearview, though, we now know the official times and dates for each of the Golden Knights’ first five playoff games (if needed, of course).

Game 1 — Wednesday, April 11, 7 p.m. PT (10 ET)
Game 2 — Friday, April 13, 7 PT (10 ET)
Game 3 — Sunday, April 15, 7:30 PT (10:30 ET)
Game 4 — Tuesday, April 17, 7:30 PT (10:30 ET)
Game 5 (if needed) — Thursday, April 19, 7 PT (10 ET)
Game 6 (if needed) — Saturday, April 21, TBD
Game 7 (if needed) — Monday, April 23, TBD

It’s real, folks. Get ready for some playoff hockey.
