Golden Knights’ Marc-Andre Fleury and Ryan Reaves win NHL Fan Choice Awards

The NHL Awards are still hours away, but a pair of Vegas Golden Knights players are already set to take home some hardware.

Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and forward Ryan Reaves were both voted by fans to win a couple of NHL Fan Choice Awards. Fleury has been awarded Save of the Year honors for his ridiculous stop on Claude Giroux in the Golden Knights’ Oct. 13 contest against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Fleury’s save on Giroux (along with the 25 other saves he made that day) helped lift the Golden Knights to a 1-0 victory over the Flyers. It was Fleury’s first shutout of the 2018-19 season.

As for Reaves, he’s taking home the award for Top Hidden Talent. If you’ve never heard Reaves’ goal horn impression, it’s actually kind of incredible.

This may not be the end of the awards for Golden Knights players. Mark Stone is in the running to take home the Selke Award, which is given to the forward who demonstrates the most defensive skill. Patrice Bergeron and Ryan O’Reilly have also been named finalists for the award.
