Golden Knights announce preseason schedule, training camp dates

The Vegas Golden Knights’ first preseason game as an NHL franchise will take place in Vancouver Sept. 17 against the Canucks, as the team announced its seven-game preseason schedule Wednesday.

Vegas will open the preseason slate with four road games. After Vancouver, the Golden Knights will play the Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks.

The first Golden Knights game in T-Mobile Arena will be Sept. 26 against the Los Angeles Kings.

In addition to the schedule, Vegas’ first day of rookie practice is set for Sept. 7 and main camp opens Sept. 14. The first day of on-ice practice is set for Sept. 15.

It’ll be a bit before the Golden Knights actually play a home game, but at least we’ll see the team in action plenty of times before that happens. Also, Vegas will be acquainted with some division rivals early on, so that’s always fun.

But there’s a schedule! It’s time to get excited for some hockey.

  • Sept. 19 – at Colorado, 6 p.m.
  • Sept. 21 – at San Jose, 7:30 p.m.

  • Sept. 26 – vs. L.A. Kings, 7 p.m.
