Golden Knights sign Paul Cotter to entry-level contract

Forward Paul Cotter, drafted in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft (No. 115 overall), has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights, the team announced Friday.

Cotter, 19, is currently playing for the OHL’s London Knights after starting the year off in the NCAA. Cotter has registered a pair of goals along with six assists in 12 games with the Knights.

The Canton, Michigan native did not earn a spot on Team USA’s roster for the 2019 World Junior Championship, but did represent the United States during the World Junior Summer Showcase, where he scored this beauty against the Swedes.

Cotter previously played for the USHL’s Lincoln Stars during the 2017-18 season, logging 18 goals and 39 points in 51 games. He also posted four goals and eight points in seven postseason contests for the Stars.
