This will be the Golden Knights fourth postponed game of the season, and thankfully this one has nothing to do on their side of things.
The game was postponed out of “an abundance of caution,” according to the Sharks.
The Golden Knights and Sharks must not be meant to play against each other this season. Two games between the teams were postponed to a later date because of the Golden Knights entering COVID protocol.
The Golden Knights played the Sharks at SAP Center on Feb. 13 and came out with a 3-1 win. Vegas got goals from Jonathan Marchessault, Mark Stone, and Chandler Stephenson who also had a primary assist in that game.
All three goals came on the power play, which was 3 for 5 on the day, and looked the best the power play has looked all year.
It is quite unfortunate that, on the day that Tomas Nosek comes off of the COVID-19 absences list, a Golden Knights game is postponed.
Thursday’s game has yet to be rescheduled and the Sharks team facilities have been closed out of an abundance of caution.
The Golden Knights’ next game is Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center.
