NHL Announces Assignments for 2022 All-Star Skills Competition
Today the NHL has announced the assignments for players participating in the 2022 NHL All-Star Skills competition. You can catch the action on Friday, February 4 at 7:30 ET on ESPN, Sportsnet, Sportsnet Now, or TVAS depending on where you live.
Three members of the Vegas Golden Knights will be participating in this weekend’s festivities, and here are the events in which they will be participating.
Mark Stone — Discover NHL Fountain Face-Off
NHL Fountain Face-Off: 8 participants travel by boat to a “rink” in the fountains. They shoot pucks into 5 targets in the least time – fighting through spray of the fountains. There's a head-to-head final.

This competition takes place on the iconic Bellagio Fountains. Players will travel by boat to the “rink” and are required to successfully shoot pucks into five targets in the least amount of time. Qualifying players move to the head-to-head final. Fountain spray and the breeze off The Strip will add to the challenge of this unprecedented NHL All-Star Skills event.
Alex Pietrangelo — adidas NHL Breakaway Challenge
Shooters can start their routine from anywhere in the neutral zone and have full access to the offensive zone, including behind the net. Each shooter will attempt two shots, and the order of second shot taken will be based on score of the first shot. A panel of judges will score each shot on a scale of 1 to 10. In the event of a tie, players will take a final shot to determine winner.
Jonathan Marchessault — Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting
Each player will shoot at four targets, one in each corner of the net, and attempt to break the Styrofoam target in the fastest amount of time.
