  • On New Year’s Day, the NHL announced that the Vegas Golden Knights would be taking part as the away team in the 2024 NHL Winter Classic hosted by the Seattle Kraken at T-Mobile Park./

  • Vegas opened up the new year on January 2nd vs. the Colorado Avalanche, winning 3-2 in a game that saw Nicolas Roy score twice, while Logan Thompson stopped 27 of 29 shots./

  • After that win over the Avalanche, the Golden Knights were lucky to get Jack Eichel back in the lineup after missing 11 games with an injury. The team went 6-4-1 while he was away, and welcomed him back during a game vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins which saw him tally a couple of points in the 5-2 win./

  • On January 5th, the NHL announced the initial list of players named to the divisional All Star teams, and Logan Thompson was selected for the Pacific Division./

  • Lastly, the Golden Knights ended the week with a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings. That gave the team a 2-1-0 record during the week of action, and 4 out of a possible 6 points./

Golden Knights falter in 5-1 rout against Kings

  • This week is a light one for the Golden Knights, as they next play on Thursday at home vs. the Florida Panthers, and again on Saturday vs. the Edmonton Oilers. The time off from Sunday until Thursday will give the team a chance to regroup, and hopefully help some players who are currently injured or recently recovering from missing time a chance to get back up to speed in practice.
  • As of today the Golden Knights have a record of 27-13-2 with 56 points in 42 games, and sit atop the Pacific Division and Western Conference, and are ranked 4th in the entire NHL./
