The Vegas Golden Knights wholeheartedly support Alex and the Pietrangelos and ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this time.
Bruce Cassidy initially commented on the Golden Knights rearguard’s status at practice ahead of tonight’s game vs. the New York Rangers, and offered his support for Pietrangelo while he was dealing with a family matter.
Bruce Cassidy said Alex Pietrangelo won’t play tonight but he can’t provide a timeline beyond that.

“We’re supporting him. When he’s ready he’ll come back.”
While Pietrangelo is away from the team, he will be off the team’s active roster, and in order to recall Jonas Rondbjerg the team also placed Brett Howden on LTIR retroactive to November 23rd.

Pietrangelo last played on November 26th vs. the Vancouver Canucks, and has been out of the lineup since then. At this point in time we don’t have many details, and frankly we don’t really need them. At a time like this all you can do is wish Pietrangelo and his family the best of luck as they deal with whatever is going on.
