Vegas Golden Knights Announce Hockey Ops Staffing Updates

The Vegas Golden Knights provided a hockey operations staff update today with an update on individuals who are joining Bruce Cassidy’s staff.

Via the team release:

John Stevens is a very respected NHL coach with an extensive resume that adds considerably to our staff, McCrimmon said. We are excited to add a two-time Stanley Cup winner with head coaching experience.

Sean Burke is a great addition to the organization, with tremendous experience as an elite NHL goaltender and an accomplished coach and executive, he added. We are pleased to keep Mike Rosati in an influential role across the organization. With those two and Henderson goaltending coach Fred Brathwaite, we have proven, qualified expertise at the goalie position.”

Stevens joins the Golden Knights having previously been an assistant for the Los Angeles Kings, and the Philadelphia Flyers. He was behind the bench for both of Los Angeles’ Stanley Cup wins in 2012 and 2014, and was the bench boss of the 2005 Philadelphia Phantoms squad that captured the Calder Cup in the AHL.

Burke most recently worked with the Montreal Canadiens, and prior to that worked in the Arizona Coyotes’ front office after his playing career ended. Rosati has been part of the Golden Knights since 2016, and was the team’s goalie coach for the past two seasons.
