Golden Knights vs. Blue Jackets: Open Game Thread and Preview
The Vegas Golden Knights are back in action tonight looking to snap a three-game losing streak, and will have an opportunity to do so against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Golden Knights enter tonight with a record of 32-24-4 (68 points), and are 4-6-0 over their last 10 games played. Columbus has a record of 29-27-3 (61 points), and has a record of 4-4-2 over the last 10 games played.
Vegas is currently in the second Wild Card spot, and they lead the Dallas Stars by one point, although the Stars have played in three fewer games. A win vs. Columbus would allow the Golden Knights to hop back into third place in the Pacific Division, a position currently occupied by the Edmonton Oilers.
The Golden Knights will be missing some players tonight, as they have for most of this season, but tonight’s game is a winnable contest. Earlier this year the Golden Knights defeated the Blue Jackets by a score of 3-2 at T-Mobile Arena, but the team Vegas iced that night looks different than the one that will play tonight.
With that said, here are the projected lines for both squads which are subject to change.
