You can breathe again, folks. After a few days of uncertainty regarding Marc-Andre Fleury’s status, it appears the 33-year-old netminder is A-OK and will join the Golden Knights in Colorado for their Saturday afternoon contest against the Avalanche.
To make room for Fleury on the roster, Vegas sent goaltender Oscar Dansk back down to the AHL, per our own Danny Webster.
Oscar Dansk has been reassigned back to the Wolves. Marc-Andre Fleury will be back with the Golden Knights heading to Colorado.

Fleury took a shot to the mask in the first period of Vegas’ Tuesday night contest against the Vancouver Canucks. After stopping all seven of Vancouver’s shots in the opening third, Fleury exited the game during the first intermission and stayed in the locker room for the remainder of the contest.
With a lengthy history of concussions throughout his career, it’s not hard to see why Vegas was so cautious getting Fleury back on the ice.
While losing Fleury long-term certainly would have been a major blow, it was encouraging to see backup goalie Malcolm Subban playing at such a high level in Vegas’ Thursday night contest against the San Jose Sharks. Subban made 42 saves against San Jose — a career-high — in the 2-1 overtime loss that helped the Golden Knights reach the 100-point mark.
As well as Subban played, though, Vegas is beyond fortunate to have its All-Star goaltender back in action.
