Preview: Golden Knights Look to Rebound Tonight in Vancouver
The Vegas Golden Knights (14-4-1, 29 points) will end their mini road trip tonight, and will take on the Vancouver Canucks (6-9-3, 15 points). Vegas is fresh off an overtime loss to Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, and the Canucks find themselves in a position to try and extend their winning streak to 3 games in a row.
The Golden Knights have been one of the NHL’s top teams to start the season, and enter play 5th in the league with a 3.58 goals per game average. Defensively, they rank 4th with a 2.47 goals against per game average. Vegas owns the league’s 16th-best power play at 21.1%, and 20th-best penalty kill at 76.6%.
The Canucks haven’t been as fortunate, and they sit 8th in scoring at 3.44 goals per game, 30th with a 3.89 goals against per game. On special teams their power play is 4th best in the league at 29.7%, and they have the 2nd to worst PK in the league with a successful kill rate of just 65%.
