Golden Knights announce dates for preseason games, training camp

A few people have put two and two together for the past few days, but the Vegas Golden Knights have made their preseason schedule official. The exhibition slate begins Sept. 15 at home, a 1:30 p.m. start time at T-Mobile Arena against the Arizona Coyotes.

In keeping with the theme of alternating road and home games against the same opponent,  the Golden Knights will play three straight on the road at Colorado (9/17), Los Angeles (9/19) and returning to the scene of the crime, SAP Center, on Sept. 19 against the San Jose Sharks.

Vegas will close the preseason with inverted home games against those three (Colorado on 9/25, Los Angeles on 9/27, San Jose on 9/29).

All preseason games will be broadcast on KTNV Channel 13, which is beautiful considering the games were not televised last season and the masses had to rely on visiting teams’ streams. So when Erik Brannstrom scored the game-winning shootout goal at San Jose last preseason, the gifs were much needed.

Alas, Brannstrom will not be on the Golden Knights’ preseason roster. Mark Stone, however, will, as he begins his first full season with Vegas after being traded from Ottawa at the deadline, then signing an eight-year, $76 million extension to stay in Vegas for the long haul. Brannstrom will likely make the Senators’ roster because Ottawa.

Stone and the rest of the Golden Knights will open training camp Sept. 12 at City National Arena, with the rookies beginning the festivities one week prior.

Here’s the full schedule with times included (pacific time zone, of course, you crazies).
