Mark Stone returns to Golden Knights lineup vs. Canucks

The Golden Knights have kept their head above water with a plethora of injuries, but help is on the way.

Golden Knights captain Mark Stone will return to the lineup in Saturday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks after missing a month with a lower-body injury.

Stone will slot into the second-line right-wing role with Evgenii Dadonov and Chandler Stephenson.

This is Stone’s first game since sustaining that injury Oct. 14 against the Los Angeles Kings. In that same game, the Golden Knights lost leading goal scorer Max Pacioretty to a broken foot. Since then, Vegas has lost William Karlsson, Zach Whitecloud and William Carrier to injuries.

Somehow the Golden Knights find themselves 8-6-0 after a 1-4-0 start through all those injuries. But the fact Stone is back not only provides a boost for a red-hot team, but adds some more offense to this group.

Stone has three assists through two games this season.
