GAME THREAD 18/82: Vegas Golden Knights at Boston Bruins

The Golden Knights (7-9-1) have just two out of a possible six points thus far on their four-game road trip but have a chance to even things up with a win tonight in Boston.

Malcolm Subban is the likely starter for Vegas as he makes his second career start against his former team. Subban is 0-2-0 with a 2.84 goals-against average and .881 save percentage in three appearances this season. His first start as a Golden Knight came against these Bruins last year, a game in which Subban made 21 saves and picked up his first career win.

The Knights are coming off a disappointing 5-4 loss to Montreal last night and will face a Bruins team also skating in the second half of a back-to-back. Jaroslav Halak, who picked up a 5-1 win against Toronto last night, is the likely starter for Boston with Tuukka Rask on a leave of absence.

Boston (9-5-2) is 6-2-0 on home ice this season. The Bruins’ top line of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand is one of the most lethal in the league and will be Vegas’ main focus defensively. The trio has already combined for 64 points this season.

Here are the projected lineups for both clubs:
