GAME THREAD: Vegas Golden Knights at Buffalo Sabres

The Golden Knights have officially picked up their first win of the season after grabbing a 2-1 shootout win over the Minnesota Wild Saturday night. That leaves Vegas with a 1-1-0 record through two contests.

Today’s matchup features the Buffalo Sabres (1-1-0), a team that boasts the likes of Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart, Casey Mittelstadt and the latest first-overall pick, Rasmus Dahlin. The expected goaltender matchup is Marc-Andre Fleury vs. Carter Hutton. Hutton is coming off an impressive 43-save win over the Rangers.

Buffalo’s Vladimir Sobotka and Zach Bogosian are out with injuries, and it’s unclear how long Alex Tuch and Cody Eakin will remain sidelined.
