The Vegas Golden Knights have made another trade, and today’s acquisition is Noah Hanifin from the Calgary Flames.

Hanifin was considered the top defenseman available on the market, and he will bring a lot of value in the interim, and the Golden Knights didn’t give up a whole lot to do it.

In 61 games played, Hanifin has a slash line that includes a 55.98 GF%, a 49.97 CF%, and a 50.07 xGF% per Evolving-Hockey. He’s been on the ice for just 2.36 goals against per 60 and 2.64 xG against per 60, and certainly makes the team deeper as someone who will slot in either on the top or second defense pair.

Hanifin is pretty solid offensively as well, and has 11 goals and 24 assists for 35 points thus far. His career high in points in a season is 48, and that came during the 2021-22 season with the Flames.

The Golden Knights have been very active over the last two days, and certainly are looking to do everything they can to give the team a boost considering the recent slide in performance. The addition of Anthony Mantha was very good, and the latest trade for Hanifin is a really great one.
