The Vegas Golden Knights (3-0-0, 6 points) will face the Dallas Stars (1-0-0, 2 points) tonight for the first time since Game 6 of the 2023 Western Conference Final. If you’d like to look back on that series, you can check this story that was put together by Jillian.

The Golden Knights hold an all-time record of 8-3-3 vs. the Stars, and in the regular season last year went a lowly 0-1-2, but as we all know they turned it on in the playoffs. The two squads that faced of a few months ago remain mostly the same, with the exception of Matt Duchene now being a member of the Stars.

Vegas is fresh off a third consecutive 4-1 win, and while there hasn’t been a lot of regular hockey season played yet, something even more true for the Stars, here are the numbers we can look at heading into tonight’s contest.

The Stars lineup is subject to change, as Roope Hintz’s status for the game is unknown. If he’s good to go, he will take the top-line center spot, Seguin would slide into wing next to Duchene-Marchment, Dadonov would play with Benn and Johnston, and Dellandrea would be the likely stat per our friends at Defending Big D.

UPDATE: 11:13 a.m.

Looks like Hintz is returning to the lineup, and the only thing different is that Dellandrea appears to be staying in lineup over Sam Steel..
