Golden Knights select Kaedan Korczak with No. 41 overall pick in 2019 NHL Entry Draft

With the No. 41 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the Vegas Golden Knights select defenseman Kaedan Korczak from the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets!

The Golden Knights made a trade with the San Jose Sharks (!) to acquire the No. 41 overall selection. In exchange for the pick, Vegas sent the No. 48 and No. 82 selections to San Jose.

Korczak, 6-foot-2 and 192 pounds, scored four goals and 33 points in 68 games for the Rockets in 2018-19. The Yorkton, Saskatchewan native is a very good skater who plays a good 200-foot game. He has the physical tools to torment opposing players in the defensive zone, but also has the speed to join in on the rush and generate some scoring chances.

Korczak is a very good addition to the Golden Knights’ already deep pool of defensive prospects that includes names like Nicolas Hague, Jimmy Schuldt and Zach Whitecloud.

How do you feel about the Golden Knights’ selection of Kaedan Korczak with the No. 41 overall pick?
