On Friday the Vegas Rookie Faceoff got underway with the Golden Knights’ rookies and prospects participating in an exhibition game vs. the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks took a 2-0 lead and the Vegas battled back to tie things 2-2, but they ultimately fell by a score of 4-2. Brendan Brisson and Ty Cheveldayoff both scored for the Golden Knights in the loss.
Tonight the Golden Knights take on the San Jose Sharks, and will face a team led by William Eklund. Eklund was a top pick of the Sharks in 2021, and posted a line of 17-24-41 in 54 games with the San Jose Barracuda. He also appeared in 8 NHL games, and during that time scored twice while adding an assist.
