Mark Stone returned to practice today, and the Vegas Golden Knights’ captain wore a no contact jersey as he starts his journey back to the lineup before the playoffs.

Stone sustained an injury to his spleen on February 20, and therefore he’s only appeared in 56 games this season. When he’s been in the lineup he’s contributed 16 goals and 37 assists for 56 points, and has been a two-way menace and shutdown forward in the defensive zone.

Vegas is a superior team with Stone in the lineup, and there’s time for him to practice and assess how he is feeling. His return to the lineup would provide a major boost to a forward group that recently added Tomas Hertl to the fold, and hopefully Stone is in line to be ready for the beginning of the playoffs.
