Tonight the Vegas Golden Knights begin a new season and start a journey they hope culminated with a Stanley Cup. The team has some new faces, some returning ones, and they are led by a new voice behind the bench. Vegas went 4-2-1 in the preseason, and the real work starts tonight in Los Angeles vs. the Kings.
Last season the Golden Knights went 2-1-1 vs. the Kings, and outscored them 16-14. Both the Kings and Vegas are teams looking to improve from where they finished last season, and both sides will look to get off on the right foot tonight. This is the first of four meetings between both sides, with the next meeting taking place after Christmas on December 27.
This is usually a spot where I’d put some numbers of note, but it being the first game of the regular season, here is a projected lineup for both sides.
