Preview: Golden Knights Look to Extend Win Streak to Six
The Vegas Golden Knights (9-2-0, 18 points) have won six games in a row, and are starting to look like a certified wagon. The Ottawa Senators (4-5-0, 8 points) enter tonight’s game having lost their last three in a row, and they will attempt to play the role of spoiler to the NHL’s most impressive Western Conference team to date.
Vegas has scored 35 goals, has allowed 19 against, and currently second in the league with a .818 points percentage. Ottawa has scored 33 goals, allowed 31 against, and is 25th in the league with a .444 points percentage.
Tonight’s matchup is the first of two games each team will play against each other, and the next encounter will take place in Vegas on November 23.
From a head to head perspective, the Golden Knights should have an overwhelming advantage over this pesky Senators squad, but Ottawa has proven to be a run-and-gun team that can score goals, and make opponents pay the price if they go on the power play.
Here are some numbers of note for both teams, and how they compare in some key areas.
With those out of the way, here is a projected lineup for both sides.
