The Vegas Golden Knights lost on Saturday to the Arizona Coyotes, and the 2-0 score line means that the team was shut out for the third time in the last two weeks. Vegas and Arizona entered the third period tied 0-0, and Logan Cooley setup the first goal of the game at 9:22 after outworking the Golden Knights along the boards before passing it to a wide open Clayton Keller. Logan Crouse added an empty-netter with minutes remaining, and that was enough for the team to secure the victory.

Despite putting 34 shots on goal, including 14 in the third period, Vegas was unable to solve Connor Ingram. The Golden Knights had 5 power play opportunities too, and Ingram stopped all 10 shots he faced while his team was shorthanded. This inability to finish played a role in the team falling short, and Vegas finds themselves in a position where they need to regroup and try and get back on track.

After getting out to an amazing start of the season, the Golden Knights have found themselves in a rut where they are just 5-4-1 in the month of November. This type of regression was to be expected, but the team will need to turn things around soon as their hold on the division lead has slipped. The Golden Knights have 30 points in 21 games played, the Los Angeles Kings have 29 points in 19 games played, and the Vancouver Canucks have 29 points in 22 games played.

Vegas has an opportunity to turn things around before the month ends, and they are headed on a road trip which will see them play in Calgary vs. the Flames on Monday, in Edmonton vs. the Oilers on Tuesday, and lastly they will face off against the Canucks on Thursday in Vancouver.
