Today is opening night for the NHL, and the league sent out rosters for every team in the league. The Golden Knights were one of the few teams that hadn’t publicly said anything prior the league sending this list out, and here’s the full roster released by the team.
Forwards: Michael Amadio, Ivan Barbashev, William Carrier, Paul Cotter, Jakub Demek, Pavel Dorofeyev, Jack Eichel, Brett Howden, William Karlsson, Keegan Kolesar, Jonathan Marchessault, Nicolas Roy, Chandler Stephenson, and Mark Stone
Defense: Nicolas Hague, Ben Hutton, Kaedan Korczak, Brayden McNabb, Brayden Pachal, Alex Pietrangelo, Shea Theodore
Goalies: Adin Hill and Logan Thompson
Injured: Alec Martinez, and Zach Whitecloud
The Golden Knights got creative with their roster situation, and really are in position to maximize their LTIR space.
Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud will play a role on the team this season, but they are starting the season on IR. Max Comtois’ status also remains unknown, and it remains to be seen if the team will look to make some trades to the point where they can then sign him to a contract. Jakub Demek was signed to a very specific cap figure, and his $851,683 deal helped the team maximize their cap space.
