The Vegas Golden Knights have agreed to terms on a two-year extension with defenseman Brayden Pachal, the club announced Wednesday.

The deal carries an AAV of $775,000; Pachal was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.

Pachal recorded two assists in 10 regular-season games with the Golden Knights in 2022-23. He played in one postseason game – Game 5 against Winnipeg – with Brayden McNabb and Shea Theodore out of the lineup, logging 11:45.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound blueliner recorded three goals and 15 points in 55 games as captain of the AHL Henderson Silver Knights this season.

This is the third contract the 23-year-old has signed with Vegas. Pachal signed a one-year deal with an AAV of $750,000 last season after inking a three-year, entry-level contract in 2019.
