On Thursday the Vegas Golden Knights announced that Zach Whitecloud underwent successful surgery due to an upper-body injury that occured during a preseason game against the Colorado Avalanche, and his status remains week-to-week.

When asked about, Bruce Cassidy said, โ€œThey determined surgery is the best course of action. Weโ€™ll call it week to week for now. We anticipate getting him back. It opens up an opportunity to (Brayden) Pachal, (Ben) Hutton and (Kaedan) Korczak.โ€ย

Today, the Golden Knights announced that Brendan Brisson has been assigned to the Henderson Silver Knights.

Brisson had a fine camp and preseason, and will be in a position to log top-six minutes with the Silver Knights, and he’ll likely be in line to be one of the first players called up in the event of an injury or demotion to someone in the main lineup. The team needs to make two additional cuts and right now it is down to Max Comtois on a PTO, and Pavel Dorofeyev, Paul Cotter as forward options in the picture.
